Yes, but I think it was much less risky in that he
had taken his shot at the NFL and decided he'd prefer to be back in college. Given that Alabama is one of the premier all-time programs, the likelihood of him bolting for another program would have to be pretty small.
Therefore, I don't think it was very risky from that standpoint. Bobby Petrino, on the other hand...
