I’ve never understood why people take anything in a press conference at face value. The coach really has no obligation to give fans true insight into the program and likely would be at a disadvantage if he did. All a coach can do in a presser is hold serve or take a step backward (Kelly pounding his fist). There is no reason to try to “win” the press conference.
