I dont think that’s how these attacks work
Look at the historical swift boat attacks …
The method is to start whisper attacks weeks/ months ahead of time. “Well we always heard rumors he was XYZ”
Then you put the entire Democratic party in a situation where they are forced to make a tough decision. Kind of reminds me of how “Sleepy Joe Biden cant get it done”. Oh did you see THAT? He’s so bad he’s practically on life support in an ICU!!” (No that’s Mitch).
It then forces the Democratic party to attack itself splitting your competition in half.
Moderates, where a lot of elections are won, get split and folks (like a lot of the people on this forum) complain “Oh the Democratic party is incompetent”, even though its very clearly Team Trump that fumbles international negotiations and starts wars for Netanyahu.
Seriously, this is perfect timing.
Why just beat Plattner when you can beat him AND destroy public support for the ENTIRE Democratic party?
Like I said, the timing is way too suspicious. If Platner is guilty then take him to court. Dont make him guilty (wrongfully) in the court of public opinion without letting him have an honest day in court.
So lets ask ourselves, why did Mitch McConnell’s wife leave the country when he’s in critical care?
Look this MAGA leadership is NOT honest in ANY way, shape or form. They dont play by the rules, and they certainly dont think the rules apply to their own. EVERYTHING should be seen through that lens. SO yeah, I still dont throw Platner out the window just bc a typical takedown story is thrown in a massive media spotlight with HIGHLY suspect timing.
If you’re not asking “why now?”, I just dont think you’re paying attention.
Let Platner have his day in a US court if his victim really wants to see him arrested for his crimes. Until then, he’s innocent until proven guilty. Everything else is just highly suspect political theater.
