There are some that should absolutely be better

Hockey, for one, should absolutely be a top-end B1G program. The facilities are great, the recruiting profile (ie, wealthy, predominantly white) fits ND to a tee (see - lacrosse).

I would think volleyball should also be much better than it is. The level of play in the Catholic schools in places like Chicago and Louisville should make for easy recruiting pickings for ND.

Its tough to expect great things from golf, baseball, swimming, track and some of the other sports dominated by warm-weather schools.
