Can we stop with comparing everything to NIU?

It's low effort that everything something goes wrong it's an *NIU* level fail. Let's call it a Marshall, or the other OSU fuckup, but the comparison is a top 10 team beat us by 3 in week 1. We can revisit it in 3 weeks if we lose to A&M, which i don't think we will, but it's tired.

We didn't compare every Kelly loss to USF, Cincinatti, the straight shithousing by Clemson and Alabama in 2020, the entire 2016 season, etc. Everything doesn't have to be an overarching program loss. I went to the *other* board this morning after avoiding it lst night and that's where we are there.

We can love the university, the team, and not nitpick every fucking thing about every fucking play. We lost our first game vs a top 10 team, while we were a top 10 team. Smash A&M in two weeks and we're right on plan, it's fine.

I don't believe, and I don't think anyone here thinks that Freeman is going to turn out to be Weis, because we got to the actual championship game and Weis got to a loss that sticks in everyone's craw vs Southern Cal.

The gist of my post is can we all chill the fuck out for a week or two?
