People take cars to Mariano's, or they walk. You do see a fair amount of Zipcars, but I understand your point. The operative thing, though, is that the goal is to move the number of cars downward over time. Not from 2.5 cars per household to 0, but definitely from 2.5 to 1.75 or something on that order of magnitude. Young people are buying cars at really reduced rates relative to older cohorts. The idea is that if you make it sufficiently feasible to exist with 1 car, the numbers will move in your preferred direction over time
