I would've pulled the trigger on Weis after the Pitt game last year, and with increasing vigor after BC, Syracuse and USC. Since he was retained, I resolved to keep an open mind this year. As furious as I was with the Michigan and USC losses, I held out a faint glimmer of hope on Weis until Saturday. My mind is now closed for good.
