I'm not now nor have I ever defended the war in Iran. Neither did I ever support the US pulling out of the JCPOA, nor of the Europeans for following along. It is not surprising at all that the war led to a pretty crappy position for the US.

Given that shitty position, this is the best option. I'm happy to see a plausible path for peace, and I hope that the peace holds. The alternative, which still may happen, would be far worse.
