Seemed like the pressure from beyond the "team" - for Jack: the coaches and chef and masseur and others who help at every tourney, not anything weird or untoward - and golf in general (i.e., the extra spend) played a role in wanting guaranteed money.

But you're totally right on the way he handled majors and how he jumped back asap once he felt he was in a position to, competiveness-wise.
