Imagine a world in which the players at FSU were held to the same standards of conduct as those at ND, and ask yourself if they would have still finished 13-0 last season. Keeping in mind that they won 7 games by less than a touchdown. And that covers only the extracurricular stuff; who knows how many of their kids would cheat or fail outright if maintaining academic eligibility were part of the package down there.

We all saw what cumulative attrition did to our team, particularly the defense, as last season unfolded. Keeping the sideline fully stocked with healthy, available players each Saturday is a primary determinant of success for a college football team.
