Good interview with Frank Beamer tonight on WJFK in DC.
The hosts asked him specifically on how college football teams need to combat agents and the like and he had a fairly good answer, paraphrasing, "The players need to be accountable and recognize that these agents aren't going to improve their draft stock one bit--they can only do that themselves on the field. Likewise, we need help from the NFLPA to keep these guys away from our campuses."
I had never heard the claim that the NFLPA should get involved before but he seemed to have a very good point. The NFLPA could blacklist agents who prematurely contact players, could they not?
The audio isn't up on their website yet but I will post it as soon as they upload it.
