In addition to the LaFortune Ballroom and Stepan Center (highly used multi-purpose events spaces), dances, receptions, etc are hosted in places like the atriums of Jordan and Mendoza, under the Dome (on a limited basis), the Oak Room or a wing of South Dining Hall. That's in addition to athletics spaces like the Monogram Room and Club Naimoli.
On many other campuses, as you point out, spaces like these are centralized in one facility or complex rather than spread out to a number of buildings.
