large, multi-purpose spaces on campus - are there any?
I spend a lot of time at USD and connected to their student union are a number of halls that are used for dinners, dances, exhibitions, conferences, receptions, etc. It strikes me that ND has none of those.
Also connected to the student union is an upscale dining room with outdoor terrace, and a pub with a fireplace and bar & grill menu.
