It was so much more physical and, frankly, brutal. Keane's dispute with Irish manager, Mick McCarthy, at the 2002 World Cup in Japan/Korea is also crazy. I was staying in Ireland during that summer when it was happening. One of my favorite times though was being in a pub in Galway when Ireland beat Cameroon. The city went bonkers.
