Netanyahu (a vampire's name) has been trying to drag the US into attacking Iran practically since the day he assumed power. And he finally found a small-p president shit-stupid enough to take the bait and do the heavy lifting. So Israel dogwalks Trump with their own intelligence and a 'limited time only!' kicker, and no one else in the room has enough of a backbone to counter with the obvious reasons why it would be a terrible idea (save the military rep, who will merely offer advice).

Even if the bullshit about Vance were true (spoiler: CMON), he'd never get to take advantage politically, anyway.
