Where was Rockne headed on that fateful trip?

Hollywood?!

What was he going to be doing when he got there? Working as a consultant on the major motion picture "The Spirit of Notre Dame"?!

Huh....

To say nothing of those ridiculous neutral site games.

One of my favorite comments, which is repeated on a regular basis in one form or another, is how Rockne would "roll over in his grave" over whatever happens to be the latest schematic/uniform/commercial/what-the-hell-ever change made at ND that's given everyone the vapors. It's hard to take folks who yammer about history and tradition seriously when they don't understand the formation of such concepts to begin with.

He also uses that wimpy shifting

A real coach would line up, tell the other team where he was going to run the ball, and then hand it off and run right there. This shift is killing me.

And don't get me started on those Studebaker ads or that damnable new stadium he's building. If Cartier Field was good enough for Harper it should be good enough for that Swede.

silk knickers?

Cheap motivational (and political) ploy during a rough season (and run-up to the presidential election)...
