My son and I saw the Belgium v Egypt match on Monday. The stadium is amazing is great (I have Sounders season tickets) and I think you'll enjoy the atmosphere in and around the ground.

Mentioned it below but...

Australia packed 9 or 10 behind the ball, sometimes all practically inside the penalty area, against Turkiye, then hit them on long balls over the top to the very quick Championship attackers Touré from Norwich and Irankunda from Watford. Turkiye, even after Yildiz came on at halftime, couldn't create enough to find a goal. Australia blocked shots, cleared crosses with their height, and bullied dribblers off the ball.

Lost out on tickets to this game via every single FIFA and USSF lottery, and just refused to pay secondary market prices.

FU: US vs Australia

Anyone going to Friday’s US World Cup match?

One of my roommates from ND has organized a massive crew for the game. 24 seats. There’ll be 4 ND roommates + a bunch of his family including his kids, his brothers and their kids etc. I fly up there tomorrow and am starting to look forward to the adventure.

I saw the prediction markets, after Australia’s opening match, lowered their expectations for total goals scored in the match, which means they are expecting something in the range of a 0-0, 1-0, 1-1, or 2-1 outcome with the US picking up the W or a draw. Knock on wood. It will be huge if the US can lock up a point in this match. Apparently Australia has established a decent defensive back line and with an opportunistic counterattack style of play.

I havent seen Australia play, so I was wondering if anyone had any additional insights in to how the match might play out.
