Has anyone else read Careless People by Sarah Wynn-Williams?
It’s about her time at Facebook. It’s both entertaining and frightening. I’m probably late to understanding how much power comes with the data that social media companies can gather on us coupled with the channels to push information to us.
The revelations and what we can learn from them may also be stale with the world charging forward on AI. But I’m interested in what people think about the accuracy of her take on Facebook and whether and to what extent companies with so much data about us and our lives can be regulated.
