I’m hearing Midnight Train to Georgia
Late in the repeated chorus after she’s made the decision to follow him back:
Call and response of “My world, his world, my man, his girl”
Maybe not a perfect fit, but that’s what I’m getting.
he was
a cunning linguist. A master of many tongues.
Deep Purple
Specifically, “Perfect Strangers“.
my favorite version of Stairway
(original included) was Heart’s cover for the Kennedy Center honors.
I had to grow into Heart. It was a guilty pleasure for this
child of the 60's. Another guilty pleasure is the Carpetners. Tony Peluso is a criminally
underrated guitarists.
Crazy on the Wilson sisters

Yes. You got it. Even the tuning is pretty spot on.

I think its a lot of Page
But damn if the Heart callouts below aren't spot-on. Very nice pickup.
I very much enjoy this song, and the previous big radio hit - Archbishop Harold Holmes.
Like I said, I don't know shit about music.

It's the Barracuda riff from Heart with a little more space
Nancy Wilson. Probably the most under appreciated guitarist. EVER.
Wow, was not expecting a Taylor Dayne reference

yep, heard it too
Barracuda!
I like Heart. Who don't?
Mea maxima culpa. Heart. I cannot unhear iit

I was kind of hearing Whole Lotta Love - same wavelength

Not coming up with any thing myself.
Would love to know when you figure it out...
Kind of just regurgitating your discussion, but feels like..
Black Dog to me?
But I have horrible music instincts so please don't laugh at me presenting the very obvious.
In a funny music observation. The very intro reminded me of Taylor Dayne I'll be Your Shelter.
Mesmerizing.
It evokes days past. I get a Rage Against vibe, but there is so much more to it.
Thanks for highlighting it.
very Page
but what about the vocals? Isn't he doing a callback to something there?
Aren't the guitars basically Page and Jones?
edit: having trouble with memory and typing this morning...
G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs
I've been drilling this into my head multiple times per day for the last month.
Help me place it. It is extremely reminiscent of some other song(s), both in the guitar grooves (some obvious step brothers there), but also in the lyrical elements, which I find hypnotic and addictive, especially the verse about "ONE boy and ONE girl!" What is that? Where did it come from? What am I thinking of? Please help! I need help.
Okay I'm going to listen to it a 3rd time since my morning coffee.
