Like or dislike Rush aside that should be a great interview b/c Geddy Lee is an incredible musician.

People have no idea how much Geddy had to do live in order to make Rush work. Lifeson played guitar. Part played drums. Geddy sang, played bass, played synthesizers and played pedals,.often at the same time, while being the focal point of the band.

Truly an amazing feat live.

Anyway for anyone interested here is the interview link.

BTW, the video was posted on Tuesday and by Thursday it already had 6.5k comments. Rush fans are like Deadheads when it comes to their band.

His interview with Dan Rather showed how thoughtful he is

And yeah, I listened to it when it dropped as I'm a fan of both. Rick has had some great interviews over the last few years from Charlie Puth to Rick Wakeman to David Gilmour. Support that guy's channel please!

He (Beato) has SO many great interviews

loved his interview with Stewart Copeland

You're Stewart Copeland. OMG You're my 2nd favorite drummer

by cdawg, Thursday, May 21, 2026, 18:21 (3 days ago) @ Jay

Copeland always tells that joke. RIP Neil.

That was a great interview since I didn't know Copeland's upbringing and how he got his sound. Plus, he is a much bigger personality than you'd think. I'll probably relisten to that one in the car this weekend. Thanks Jay!

I saw that as well

Copeland is such a funny, refreshing guy when compared to most musicians.

love how he calls him “Sting-o”

Always taking Sting-O down a peg while acknowledging his preternatural greatness.

Listened to his memoir “My Effin Life.” Worth a listen…

He covers a lot of good personal and band history. Gives insight into a number of albums and songs. If you’re a fan even casually, it’s a good read (or listen). I liked listening to it because he reads it.

I saw them once at the Palace at Auburn Hills in the early 90s. Taking my three sons to see them in Chicago this summer.

Really, really excited to see them again even without Peart (RIP).

Interesting fact about Geddy Lee

His parents were Polish Jews who survived imprisonment in Auschwitz, Dachau and Bergen-Belsen, and emigrated to Canada after the war.

“Geddy” comes from how his mother pronounced his given name, Gary.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

I love Rush and all three are/were incredible musicians. Too bad that Peart is no longer with us.

Peart and Bonham

Wow, it's hard to put anyone else in that league in the rock genre. No matter what your taste is, those two were unreal.
