Seems like a $2 billion windfall could buy a lot.
They could turn themselves into the top university for research and training in whatever fields they want. I'd go with AI and robotics, but there are surely other options. At ~5% interest, that's $100 million per year without spending it down.
Or, sure, money for football and basketball. I guess it's better than how MSU or USC would spend the money, which would be paying off sexual assault victims.
