Pair of 3-star commits today
by Jeremy (WeIsND), Offices of Babip Pecota Vorp & Eckstein, Monday, May 04, 2026, 08:27 (21 days ago)
WR Jackson Coleman plays for Mike Sanford (yes that Mike Sanford) in Colorado. Big target with good hands and some solid track times.
TE Titus Hawk from Oklahoma is the Jaxon Dollar consolation prize. Incredible athlete, and might actually be taken very high in this year's MLB draft. Could have a tough decision to make.

Titus Hawk will block every punch you throw
by IrishGuard, Monday, May 04, 2026, 09:52 (21 days ago) @ Jay
until he gets tired, then you need to use the star uppercut to knock him down. Once he's on the mat, he's too big to get up again.
It'll drive you crazy trying to beat him before you know the secret, but once you do he's the easiest guy in the game.

Beat me to it

Here's what I posted, just so I don't feel it was wasted. :)
* Colorado WR Jackson Coleman, a three-star prospect who is no longer under the radar after he shot up to 6-4, 205 with a PR of 10.67 in the 100. He picked ND over Oregon, which wanted him badly (also offered by Miami and Michigan). Carter Auman in the recruiting office tweeted a photo of Shark, so that's the comparison they're going with. His coach is Mike Sanford, Jr., of all people, and he broke the school 100-meter record set by Christian McCaffrey.
* Oklahoma TE Titus Hawk, a low 4-star prospect who's our consolation prize for losing 5-star Jaxon Dollar to Georgia last week. Hawk is 6-7 and, despite being only 210 pounds, relishes being a punishing blocker. His profile as a Flanagan-like in-line blocker makes for a nice complement to the two guys we got in the last class. Top offers were from Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, A&M, Texas Tech, Florida and Alabama.
Hawk is a lot like Tyler Warren, 3* from Richmond, VA

I also wonder how many elite TE's actually wind up elite. I think I'm still unimpressed with the guy who went to Alabama 8 years ago and was called the greatest TE prospect ever. Bo something???
Neither of these guys is a 3* caliber prospect. Two great

On Signing Day.
To follow up on BPH's post - sounds like Oregon wanted Coleman BADLY and is not too happy about the way things shook out there. It is somewhat interesting to note that we seem to be going head-to-head with them pretty often in this cycle. I think that's obviously a good sign for ND, but also a pretty good sign that Lanning and Co. are targeting the types of guys that should give them staying power for a long time. That program is not a flash-in-the-pan anymore.

There's quite a few of those guys

Who are due for big bumps. Monds, for example, was rated by some services as the #1 QB and a Top 10 player in the 2028 class before he re-classified. Its ridiculous that 24/7 has him as a 3-star.
Other guys, such as Whisenton, Irvin, and Gay will certainly be moving up also.
I love that we get dinged every year for a LS.

Biaggi punting rules. If I understand it correctly, we are moving very close to the NFL rule, where only the gunners can release into coverage right away. The longsnapper has been significant in that he both needs to be an excellent snapper of the football and also was the first guy into coverage.
I have to believe those rules will be nixed
by Jeremy (WeIsND), Offices of Babip Pecota Vorp & Eckstein, Tuesday, May 05, 2026, 08:21 (20 days ago) @ BillyGoat
According to all the reporting, an overwhelming majority of coaches/teams hate the new rules. You can't get these guys to agree on anything, but they all seem to believe that these rules are bad.
It's so silly
by BPH, San Diego, Monday, May 04, 2026, 09:16 (21 days ago) @ Chris
that long snappers are assigned a player ranking that actually affects the class ranking.
I was kinda hoping
by Jeremy (WeIsND), Offices of Babip Pecota Vorp & Eckstein, Monday, May 04, 2026, 09:07 (21 days ago) @ Chris
We were past the point where we'd have to use a "scholarship" spot for a long snapper, but I guess in the NIL world it really doesn't matter. And that's one place you don't want to have any SNAFUs.
Yup, it goes off a 105 roster count now.

How much a player makes in NIL is irrelevant to the NCAA (as it's seemingly always been).
