When watching ND Lax games to see the opposition tend to have guys with gaudy goal-scoring numbers, while each ND player tends to have rather modest stats.

I assume this speaks to the depth that Corrigan has created, the defense-first mentality that tends to permeate thru the program, and the fact that ND doesn't play a bloated schedule with lots of cupcakes before getting into conference season.

They're a joy to watch and Corrigan really has this thing humming. Hopefully the hockey program can take a page from their success because there really isn't any excuse for them to be as poor as they've been lately.
