good question. A quick study I did showed most BCS teams had a similar structure but had at least one major area of the team where something was missing. But I haven't looked at every team over the past 10 years. Going back five or so wouldn't be all that difficult, I have all the data. Perhaps I can pull something together in due time.

Are there teams that have met some/many/most/all of the criteria you have put together but have not been in BCS title contention?
