Somogyi's preseason scouting on Utah

Might be a pay article, but some notes.

* Whittingham is 48-17 (.739) at Utah

* Utah had six guys drafted to the NFL last year (compared to ND's four)

* 8 starters returning on offense including 4 OL, a 1,000-yard rusher, and the QB

* Lost all starting linebackers and 3 DBs, but returns its DL. Somogyi thinks that unit is 3rd-best among Irish opponents (behind only USC & Pitt).

Lou's got the Utes ranked #6 on our schedule (noting that they'll be playing us at ND immediately after facing TCU) but admits they could be as high as 3rd.

I think this might be the most intriguing game on the schedule this year.
