We need another heavyweight in any event
We can't count on Michigan being back to the elite level in 2011. If USC isn't either, that makes zero elite opponents. And even if USC and Michigan are both top 10 teams in 2011, which strikes me as unlikely, there's absolutely nothing wrong with playing three elite teams.

There's certainly enough of us in the area
which reminds me, we should hit up the DFH alehouse down the street after work some day. Giggity works close by too.
I'll be there, I think.
Long time from now, but perhaps we could pull together a Polo Grounds "Home Away from Home" meet&greet/tailgate.

That's good news
So from what I recall, that means our 2011 schedule includes SC, Michigan, Stanford, Maryland, Michigan State, Purdue, Pitt, Navy, Army, probably 2 more Big East teams per that lovely agreement and has room for one more.
I'd hope that Jack would hold off on figuring out that last team until we see how badly the NCAA smacks SC. If SC goes down, then he'll need to put in a top-flight opponent just to keep our schedule strength up. If SC is handled with kid gloves, then a fair-to-middling opponent (UCLA-strength) would be fine.
