The Pasadena Museum of California Art opens "Millard Sheets: The Early Years (1926-1944)" on February 14.

It is a struggling little museum, and Sheets' early work is good stuff.

Sheets is the artist for the "Word of Life" mosaic/mural, more commonly known to some of you Philistines as "Touchdown Jesus," on the Hesburgh Library.
