Source: Brown has left Miami

Miami linebacker Arthur Brown, who was rated the No. 1 outside linebacker in the class of 2008 by ESPN.com's Scouts Inc., has left the University of Miami, a source confirmed.

The question left unanswered here is why.

Despite the high expectations he faced out of high school, Brown struggled during the past two seasons. He made 13 tackles last year and played mostly on special teams. In 2008, he had four tackles in 11 games.
