His unbridled enthusiasm was contagious for everyone around. Excepting the two Brits we work with, who aren't enjoying life this week.

Iceland is/are good

I haven't seen them play too much, but I saw some of the first half and I was struck by how linked they are. The definition of "organized" in the soccer sense. The will be a problem for France.

The throw in that set up their first goal was stupendous.

If they can beat France on their home turf

by Jack @, Monday, June 27, 2016, 19:15 (2861 days ago) @ Dylan

The entire population of the country might still be drunk at this time next year.

My favorite comment so far is from the Telegraph ...

by Puck52, Monday, June 27, 2016, 14:13 (2862 days ago) @ Jim (fisherj08)

... reporter:

"Wow. Wowowowooww. Wow. Wowowoowwowoww. I cannot believe it. That was beyond embarrassing. There are people who wake up without their shoes, with a text from their boss saying they've been fired and an empty memory from the night before who have had a more successful evening."

Heh

They are the Tottenham Hotspur of international football

No one tortures their fans quite like England. That was as disgraceful as it was awesome.

Over-hyped, overpaid, and over here.

Or so said the (seemingly pro-UK) announcer.

I always enjoy Darke and Macca

They weren't even trying to hide their disgust today.

They are Brits, correct?

by Grantland, y'allywood, Monday, June 27, 2016, 14:17 (2862 days ago) @ HCE

They said this was to be a "National Embarrassment."

Hilarous

Indeed. Macca played for England

And they should ...

by Mark, O Town, Monday, June 27, 2016, 14:14 (2862 days ago) @ Jack

I thought I saw Rooney playing in the back 3rd ... wtf? I know he might have lost a step, but he should not be playing as a defensive midfielder. You just dont put one of your nation's greatest goal scorers that far off the attack, imo.

Rooney was either way out of position, or the coaching was complete crap.

the coaching was complete crap.
