I find it to be from the "Lupica/Albom" School of let me pontificate on a subject and talk down to the reader.

Staples was very gracious and friendly in his emails back and forth yesterday. Are you thinking of Stewart Mandel (also of SI.com)? Because he's kind of a turd.
Nope. Although he does fit the profile.
Again, that's just my opinion. I started noticing Staples over the last year or so.
I think the worldwide leader has a better collection of football writers on their website. I'm fond of the work that their Conference reporters do in terms of finding links, interviews, etc. Maisel is very good although we all know that Forde is a jackass.
