offensive starter from the first decent team that Ferentz had there. He said that Verducci was an excellent OL coach for the Hawks.

Random internet fans on an Iowa board were not enamored of him (maybe you saw the thread a couple months ago). Then again, you can't really argue with the numbers the Iowa running game put up. It's good to get a firsthand endorsement.

He's not a "players coach."

success doesn't matter to 50% of the former players. They'll react to how they were personally treated.

But if you only interview the starters, the guys who succeeded, you'll often find a different opinion.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but I bet I'm right.
