I realize that he was a rather young guy, but he came to ND to play quarterback because he wanted to be BMOC. With great power comes great responsibility, and he shirked it about as badly as one could imagine.
I certainly don't wish anything bad on Jones, but nor do I get the least bit verklempt when things don't magically fall into place for him. The hard knocks are perhaps better for him in the long run.
