This is last three years of recruiting according to Rivals.com. Here are the "superpowers" listed in order of total Top 250 recruits. The three totals are each schools number of Top 50-100-250 recruits:

SOUTHERN CAL: 14-28-38

TEXAS: 9-17-37

LSU: 8-16-35

FLORIDA: 13-20-34

NOTRE DAME: 8-18-32

OHIO STATE: 9-14-31

ALABAMA: 10-15-29

GEORGIA: 6-12-27

MICHIGAN: 5-5-27

OKLAHOMA: 7-12-24

One clear conclusion...

is that Michigan has been recruiting a lot of good, but not nearly enough great, prospects, as measured by top 50/100 recruits. And the list doesn't even account for the transfers of Mallett and McGuffie, two of their biggest "gets" in the last three years. Combined with their unstable QB situation, there's really no reason why we shouldn't beat them the next two years, which would give us three in a row in the series and presumably an even greater edge in talent.

Given the difference in talent level

coupled with their output on the field last year, there isn't any reason our games for the next 4 years against Michigan should be even close.

True.

But as best I could I did factor in non-qualifiers and transfers into each teams total.

Nothing sinks even the most talented of teams faster than a bad situation at QB.
