That was chilling....

I'm not a football blogger, but ...
I've been playing around with a side-project for a Notre Dame blog with a different focus. If that gets off the ground and I end up deciding to run with it rather than just toy with it, I'd love to use this space as a sort of review and sounding board to get feedback from the other, more experienced bloggers hanging around here. I assume that's within the "bloggers' roundtable" purview, yes?
That's probably a safe assumption.

And I should have read this post....
Lastly, as I said in my invitational emails -- and just to be clear -- this place was never intended to be (and will never strive to be) a replacement for NDN, UHND, IE, Rivals, or any other larger ND-football-related board you might frequent. I am still posting on NDN and and will continue to post there. As I've mentioned to some of you in conversation, I'd like to put a moratorium on all meta-commentary about other message boards here and keep this place football pure, if possible.
Back to business. I assume premium content rules still apply?
Not much.....
No comments other than to say that I am impressed with the quality of discussion.
In my time on message boards I am of the opinion that if you can just sit back once-in-awhile and read the discussion without feeling the need to interject can be a very good thing. Sometimes things have been said and don't need repeating, or beating into the ground.
This place works for the very reason you put it together.
Quality discussion.
Kudos and thanks for having me.
This place is like...
a ND Stats Bat Phone. It's awesome.
Thanks for putting it together, guys.

Sometimes I rhyme slow sometimes I rhyme quick.
Sounds good.
I think we'll know more about whether or not we have the right number of posters once the season starts and things kick up a bit. There's not a whole lot to converse about until the Blue-Gold game. I imagine there will be some good discourse here then.
I also like the stat-geek action that's gone on here so far. Everyone likes a good statistic.
any thoughts?

this board has been open just over a week
I closed off the self-registration for now so this is gonna be it as far as extending posting rights. If you have someone who you think could be a contributing member, please send me a referral.
A couple of informal thoughts on vision for the board.
We'll always have a limited number of posters. It may grow, but very slowly.
It'll always be open for people to read, regardless if they're registered members or not. Feel free to point people to discussions here if you'd like.
Also, since this is a BGS blogger's forum, some other Irish bloggers are here as well. It was my hope that as we all continue to blog, this place might be a good lab (hence the original name, the BGS Football Lab) where ideas for posts could be hashed out and batted around. Maybe it could even foster some collaboration for future projects.

Feel free to link to quality football stuff on any of those forums (or anywhere, really), of course.
