There is hope

The TV execs that are not at ESPN are not enthused. Even ESPN is not exactly raking in money given their recent layoffs. And the appetite from the streamers (Netflix, Apple, Amazon) is only going to increase; they've all run live sports now.

My hope is that the TV execs force this issue in the next contract and demand scheduling stability.

Fox's week 1 game this year, for which they paid a pile of money: Penn State / Marshall.

They won't stand for that in the next contract, I don't think.
