There’s tons of hype and media bs pumping this idea that Argentina was playing dirty, but if you go back and watch the plays closely you would be hard pressed to find truly malicious play like the days of old. I guarantee the Vinnie Jones’ of the world are rolling their eyes at that commentary.
If you get ball first and your spikes are down, that’s a pretty clean play imo.
Watch to see if the player committing the ‘foul’ actually follows through. If they get to a play late but aren’t following through … it may be a foul but it’s definitely not malicious. Even the best players in the world sometimes get to a play late. The follow through is the critical part.
