We can safely declare the Bama era over --
they were gifted a spot in the CFB and a game against the only P4 opponent they could have beaten, but the destruction by Indiana is the kind of thing that leaves a mark. I remember all those SEC-bots declaring "Indiana Elimination Day."
The game wasn't nearly as close as the 38-3 score. Bama got out-gained 407-193. They got out-rushed 215-23.
Their only really good regular season win was against UGA, but essentially they played an 8 quarter game against Georgia that Bama lost by 25 points.
The core of what made Bama feared is gone. They don't have the cohesive, talented defense they did. They have become a finesse team on offense. Hopefully they'll keep DeBoer on long enough for the rot to go all the way through.

Yet they keep getting Top 5 QB commits
And I get the offense staff…but the team isn’t good overall.

Bama still ranked #49th
Sandwiched between Stanford and BC.
It’s a sign of recruiting
When there’s almost no hoopla for a top 150 recruit
