as well as Facing Nolan. This incredible "oh my gosh" shit about Miz and Chapman a few years ago just makes me laugh. Back in the day in the early 70's
Nolan hit 101 at the plate in the 8th damn inning and it was the only pitch that registered for how that measured it back then.

Reggie Jackson said a good day vs Ryan was 0-4 and not getting hit in the head. I get it that so many pitchers are throwing so fast now. That's just how it is. But watch the documentary Fastball. It actually shows how different the speeds are being measured now.

Of course, this comes from a below average baseball player, so I don't know crap. But math makes sense to me.

Nolan threw 98 on his final pitch at 46 years old when his elbow blew. Respect the legends. It wasn't his fault his teams always blew.
