I am skeptical that it is real ND students.
I just get confused by their naming convention …

In other words, whomever it is, isnt very smaht imo.

I am very surprised about many views of Gen Z/Gen Alpha
Talking with my kids, a pretty strong majority have heavy conservative leaning politics. This surprised me because when I was that age I definitely felt like I had more liberal leanings than my parents, it feels like that has reversed.
I am not exactly what to attribute that POV but do feel like the age of the internet coincides with the rise of conservatism. And specifically, social media's impact on influence and persuasion. This hasn't just afflicted younger generations but has trickled amongst older ones too. It starts as a small gateway and morphs into crazed echo chambers.
At least for young males
It seems like many of the "role models" (for lack of a better term) that are online tend to be the bros with conservative leanings. Think there have been quite a few videos/articles, etc. about this.
Not sure what might be fueling a similar trend among young females, apart from seeing what the guys are doing/into and aping it for purposes of popularity.
I would also point out that, perhaps anecdotally, it really seems like "country culture" (again, for lack of a better term) is hugely, hugely popular right now. And so many of the "influencers" in that space tend to be conservative.
It’s a tough age for young males…
Social media and phone addiction has a way of magnifying insecurities and highlighting perceived competition at the same time they’re trying to establish themselves socially, professionally and emotionally. I can imagine myself caught up in the manosphere stuff were I to be in my early 20’s in today’s age - just thinking back to how I perceived my world back then - anything to feel empowered in the post-college years when I felt so adrift.
Everything is a thirst trap.

I got my son a guitar this spring and we started watching YouTube videos for tips and before we knew it the entire algorithm is feeding young women playing riffs in right clothes.
You watch a few pizza dough recipe videos and then the feed is young women making pizza.
I watched a video about snaking my main sewer drain and guess what Started to show up.
So the young men/boys get hooked on that and then I suspect it's just a quick skip and a hop over to Joe Rogan or worse.

based upon the last names of some of those donors, they have (great) grandparents who were considered part of "infinity third world immigration" within the last century+.
My fellow Italian Americans, especially, continue to collectively forget.
