May need another surgery to repair nerve damage that is preventing a full recovery.
What a waste of a career.

I sure hope the "manly team bonding" bullshit on the death machines out on the ranch was fun enough to be worth it for them. Eyeroll.
But, moving forward, I hope that every player's contract now makes it clear that doing such a thing will mean immediate loss of all money except for the scholarship.
At the risk of reopening this can of worms

UTVs are generally considered to be much safer than ATVs. And the disaster scenario ensued bc he was riding with his arm hanging out of the cage, which effectively defeats the whole purpose of the structural safety enhancements of that vehicle. It's the equivalent of riding a rollercoaster with one leg hanging outside the cart and then blaming the team for going to Cedar Point.
Regardless, this whole cursed affair has hurt Jagusah more than the team. The OL is fucking stacked, and there's no reason at this point to feel anything other than sorry for the kid making a dumb, innocuous mistake.
Harder to tip...but also dependent on what you're doing.

I'd like to believe that since it was a supervised thing, it was a freak accident where they hit a pothole, tree root, etc. But we don't know the whole story, and knowing 18-22 year old guys, there's a non-zero chance it was a "Hey, watch this!" situation.
Sucks for the kid, but to Savage's point, hopefully a lesson to others.
Feels like something like this happens twice a a decade.

Mike Kovaleski broke his arm on a dirt bike.
The Peter kid from Nebraska that broke his neck dividing into a pool.
The worst was the kid who fell off the balcony while on spring break in Florida.
especially when one side of the vehicle

has a 330 LB human in it. Real bummer for that kid but at the very least he's going to have a great launching pad for life what with the NIL earnings and the ND education
Hopefully he still has a career.

But at this point he’s probably lost two full years out of it.
