His attorney is a longtime NFL adversary.
He’s worked closely with the union on many issues. He represented Tom Brady and rightfully pointed out the NFL’s sham disciplinary process where Goodell essentially rules on appeals of his own decisions.
Perhaps Kessler is trying to advance some point on behalf of the union.
Edit - this came off as didactic. You probably already know who Kessler is! Anyway, will be interesting to see what happens in this battle of horrible, no good opponents.
