It's right at the end. Pretty clear that it's going to be canceled judging by this evasive response.
I really hope that Pete and Co.
Give him (and anyone else that starts ducking scheduled games) both barrels with gusto. Its entirely apparent to anyone that can rub two brain cells together that these teams don't want to play us right now. And Pete should make it very, very, very clear that this is not in any way a mutual decision, and that Texas has unilaterally decided not to honor the contracts for the scheduled games.
Anything less than that would be extremely disappointing, even with the knowledge that the ND AD has to be more political at times than just about anyone else in that line of work.

Itʻs any heavyweight game out of conference. Sark in particular feels burned by losing that OSU game last year, feeling like it kept the ʻHorns out of the playoff (conveniently ignoring a loss to a 4-8 Florida team).
These people are so goddamn dumb.
Nobody talks about Miami and how, sure, they got completely bailed out by the committee and their ACC membership, but they also never would have been seriously considered at all without having beaten ND during the season. Their CV was absolute dogwater without that feather in their cap.
It's embarrassing that the mindset for so many coaches (ADs too) like Sark and Riley goes directly to the impact of losing those games and never to "what if we win?". Had Texas actually BEATEN Ohio State, they would have made the playoff free & clear in spite of two losses, one of them awful and the other not particularly competitive. But all they can focus on is how they were adversely impacted because they didn't do the easiest thing possible. They're small-brained cowards.
Frankly, it's another data point for Freeman to hammer on the recruiting trail. These losers don't want the smoke. They would rather make excuses than 'choose hard' and play us on the field. What a great example to set for a bunch of teenagers.
I think the cost/benefit differs between SEC and ACC.

I'm still convinced that Texas would've been deep in the conversation, and perhaps made the playoffs, without that tOSU loss.
