he fits the need of giving a young QB an option to 'balance' the offense and not have everything revolve around them during their developmental years.

BUT getting the Bengals pick at 10 allows them to likely add another top 10 player on the other side of the ball. I don't love C. Downs but he could be around at 10 and a Love/Downs class would be a nice haul for the Harbaugh regime.

BTW - With D. Lawrence inside methinks Golden is going to Tenuta on LB gap blitzes. I don't know if that trade is going to work, but I can see what they're attempting to do. At a minimum the FO owed Golden a solid after the Hendrickson contract situation last year and FA loss for 2026
