A few years ago I would have questioned this hire due to Malone having no recruiting background. But with NIL building relationships doesn't matter as much as how much money you're offering. I suspect "Chapel Bill' will up their NIL commitment/support from Davis levels so Malone should have the necessary resources to be able to compete with Duke/KU and others.
