And, he could do so much to pull young men away from white nationalism, but he seems to willfully be ignoring that.

Gregg Rolie was awesome. He sung lead on "Black Magic Woman"

He also accomplished the rare feat of being the co-founder of two bands that were inductee into the R&R HoF (Santana & Journey). He was also a longstanding member of Ringo Starr's all star band.

Hell of a resume.

FTR, I'm with you on early Journey.

Fan and got me into the earlier stuff. They were born out of Santana and their first album was basically Progressive Jazz rock. Some good stuff, but not commercially viable.

The golden eta was when Gregg Rolie and Perry were both in the band and they'd trade vocals like in Feeling That Way. Rolie left because of musical differences and Cain joined just in time to make some of the schlock'iest MTV videos of all time.

That was my first thought. Just ineloquently worded.

"No Catholic Mass"

by Captain Robb, Friday, April 03, 2026, 11:04 (54 days ago) @ domer.mq

Well, the Catholic Mass is not celebrated on Good Friday, so I guess that checks out.

Bigoted AND ignorant (though that usually goes hand in hand).

YIKES. Pentagon hold "Protestant only" Good Friday event.

who played keyboards and wrote some of Journey's biggest hits (Don't Stop Believin', Faithfully).

Trumpers tried to appropriate some of those songs for their movement and Neil Schon (and Steve Perry) was having none of it and issued a cease & desist order the following day. Schon came up with Carlos Santana in the Bay Area scene and he's about as far from MAGA as one can get.
