Very nice win today on the road against OSU. They are peaking at the right time.
How good is Vandy? Can we take them?
My parents (neither of whom went to ND, love ND women's bball). They have traveled a couple of times to see games.

The SEC is a traditionally tough conference that has produced recent champs from USC and LSU, and they fared well in the league. Based on that history, I presume they are very good and I know they have a talented guard who scores a ton of points. She nearly had a triple double yesterday.
They're 7th in the NET rankings
Eight spots higher than OSU. We're 21st.

I'd be willing to bet our stats are significantly better over the last five weeks. Just a guess based on how well we've played.
Meanwhile over on the mens side
Kyle Getter is supposedly the lead target to take over Pepperdine.
And there are rumors that several high profile players are looking to transfer. And not for monetary reasons.
Those rumors cut against the belief that they love Coach.

Ivey got an A for roster building and a C for coaching last season. This year is basically the opposite (maybe even lower than that on the roster). Happy to see her squeeze good things from a limited roster and make a bunch of old white men ("NDWBB fans") who rarely pay attention to WBB other than to bitch about not winning titles eat shit. Onward and upward next season, won't be satisfied til she drives Geno to retirement like Saban.

Suffocating defense and good quality offense in the fourth quarter. It was really impressive and as you say, the opposite of how last season ended. Happy for the team - they were ecstatic on the sidelines and it was great to see.
My concern through the first 2 games
Is ND had 11 assists against Fairfield and 10 against OSU. I thought our ball movement was better yesterday but we are going to have to find ways to score passing within our offense
This is fair. I think ND's offense is reliant on chaos

Hidalgo in transition, beating her player one v one, etc. We are susceptible to getting bogged down in a halfcourt game. I might play zone against us if I were coaching the other team.
After the 0-11 start, they won by 20.
Against a 3 seed & on their court.
And Hannah is just unreal.
Women continue to dribble near her and I just don't get it.
