Notre Dame Fencing - Build Gia A Frickin' Statue on Campus

This is the first year that the NCAA has split the Championship from a Co-Ed Team Championship to individual Men's Team Championship & Women's Team Championship. I know for a fact that Notre Dame staff think this was a direct attempt by the NCAA to limit the team's ability to continue their dominance.

Didn't matter. Women's Team won by three bouts and the men's team by 10 bouts, with Columbia/Barnard coming in second in both.

Since taking over in 2014, Coach Gia Kvaratskhelia has won 7 NCAA Team Championships (Technically 8 if you count both this year). All of those championships have been since 2017. Since the pandemic year, ND has won 5 of 6 NCAA Team Championships. In 2024 they came in 2nd by 8 bouts.

I know there is a lot said about building Muffet a statue on campus, but Gia needs to be in that conversation. The sustained dominance of the program is amazing and there is nothing that should stop the on-strip performance in the future.
