Quick question.

Does this mean Loren Landow is staying? Seems like the consensus was that he'd be following Kubiak to the Raiders.
As an aside, I saw where Jeremiyah Love credited Landow for his performance in Indy at the combine.
Not to take the other side

But apparently both Fields and Price were prepping for the combine with Landow, and word is they were disappointed with their performance, particularly in the 40.
Which isn't to say that I think Landow is bad, just that he doesn't seem to be a miracle worker, even though he apparently wrote a book about prepping for the NFL combine.
Price made the "all combine" team fwiw --

I saw a mock draft that had Love, Price, and Fields all going in the first round, but color me skeptical especially about Fields. I imagine Fields will probably run in the ND pro day and he can probably clock somewhere in the 4.5's. But if you're going to take Fields it's not because you think he can run past everyone -- it's for his frame and his hands.
Fields was a nice addition this year and he and Carr seemed to develop some chemistry. But he looks more like a 3rd round guy to me.
On Price's speed, 4.49 is pretty fast for a guy his size and all you need to know about his football speed you can learn from watching his kickoff returns.
Eventually NFL teams are going to catch on to the fact that guys like Watts and Kyren Williams aren't defined by their 40 times. They're football players and legitimate top tier NFL players at their positions.

"Somewhere in Middle America"
I think the best-case scenario
by BPH, San Diego, Wednesday, March 04, 2026, 08:49 (148 days ago) @ omahadomer
is all three of them going by the end of the second round. More likely either Price or Fields will fall into the third.
I'm gonna break something if the Niners pass on Price
by omahadomer, Wednesday, March 04, 2026, 12:56 (147 days ago) @ BPH
if he's available in the second round. McCaffrey is approaching the un-magic age of 30 where most RBs go off the ledge. The Niners desperately need an RB2 who can become RB1.

"Somewhere in Middle America"
One ESPN mock has him going to the Lions at 50th.

Not Sure S&C Coaches Suit Everyone
by NDJuban, Tuesday, March 03, 2026, 16:40 (148 days ago) @ Jeremy (WeIsND)
Honestly I think some work a lot better for certain people than others. J Love was gonna dominate the combine because he is a mutant. He was always a mutant. He always will be a mutant.
Honestly I think the key things for an S&C coach is to keep guys healthy throughout the long season.
Improving speed and strength will happen regardless.

and said whomever was the strength coach was a maniac but a good maniac.
He also said that now that he's with the Marines, it's a better fit than college kids.
Yes, he's staying
