I assume that is over, but my son and I took it a year or so ago and had to get off in Michigan City (IIRC) and ride busses around the track being worked on. Added mucho time.

Also, are you just wanting to ride the South Shore for the novelty?

I had a weather delay and missed a flight from O'Hare to SB. I ended up Ubering for $200. It is not the SS price wise, but it was fast and easy. It was late summer too, so you can't count on it. There was 0 going on.
