Standalone Athletic is worth it, imo

It's like $60 or $80 per year, but I think if you're new you can get the first year for $20 or less.

Really high quality of writing and some deep dive stuff (like the excellent piece from Sampson in this thread). Not as much chaff to sift through relative to espn.com or similar sites.
